Tom Sauer and Tom Fancett are old friends that share the passion for adventure. Fancett is born and raised in London. Sauer is Dutch, but was raised in Russia. They row in support of the Johan Cruyff Foundation which is a charity that uses sport to transform young people´s lives. Specifically, they want to raise enough money to build a Cruyff court in Russia.
The team will be competing in the boat PS Vita (formerly Atlantic Quest) which made the crossing in an amazing thirty-seven days in 2005 as a four person boat and in 2009 when it won the Pairs class in fifty-nine days.
