Atlantic Drifters

We committed to taking part in the challenge while serving with the Army Air Corps in Afghanistan back in 2012. As Army officers, arduous and uncomfortable situations are not foreign to us and so the Atlantic challenge seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity that we couldn’t miss. Not only will it satisfy our love of rowing (Tom) and perverse enjoyment of extreme fitness challenges (Dave) but more importantly which will give us the chance to raise money for two great charities. We bought our boat from team NEAS Energy (2013 challenge) at the end of last winter and have spent some time out on the water already but still a lot more training is needed. At least we’ve already had plenty of training in sleep deprivation and eating from ration packs!
