Jason Caldwell has been through it before.

Last year he and his teammates – all accomplished river rowers – attempted to cross the Atlantic, but were humbled by the power of the elements, as two of his crew had to be evacuated after just ten days. Jason and his teammate Thomas Magarov continued the race as a pair and arrived in Antigua three weeks after the record breaking time they hoped for.
