Atlantic Endeavour is made up of four young women who share a common interest in conquering a huge challenge. United by a passion for adventure, and surviving in extreme conditions, they aim to be the first womens’ four to cross the finish line in English Harbour in early 2017.
The team formed in the summer of 2014, each member bringing a unique set of skills to the project. Learn more about the individuals below.
All the members of the team have either experienced firsthand, or someone they are close to has been affected by mental illness. Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
They are also supporting Women for Women International. They chose to support this organisation to highlight the daily struggles and inspiring strength of fellow women around the world.
The charity helps women facing violence, marginalisation, and poverty as a result of war and conflict in countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Sudan. Through the Women for Women International programme, the most marginalised women find inspiration and strength to transform their lives.
