Antiguans turned out in their thousands today to greet four men who rowed home from La Gomera in the Canary Islands. They completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in 52 days 9 hours and 9 minutes.   The four-man team called Wadadli, (Nick Fuller (67), Peter Smith (74), JD Hall (29), Archie Bailey (50)) are also the oldest team to have ever rowed an ocean.

Team Wadadli took on the grueling challenge to raise funds for the St John’s hospice which is in Antigua. So far, they have raised approximately $74,000. The team competed against 26 other teams from around the world.

Skipper Nick Fuller comments on the race: “It was incredibly difficult but we’ve done it and it’s great to be home.”
